His professional interests include computational finance, numerical methods, portfolio construction, and risk management. He enjoys playing squash, the guitar, Go, and is working toward his private pilot license when not at his desk. On intermissions, he tries for adventures without his blackberry - preferably in the middle of nowhere.

Pharmacy, Perth, AustraliaVal is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Pharmacy at Curtin University. Previously, he played a small part wearing a lab coat in Bioven's effort for cancer treatment and wearing multiple hats at Siogen Biotech (MY). Val also completed his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at Loughborough University with honors. Aside from the sciences, Val enjoys writing music and keeping fit.
